about

SLOW CORPSE ~ HOUND
This is one of those EP's that eases in on you slowly to lay the landscape for the rituals to come. It seeps out of each crevice of your consciousness as an underlining melody recovers your melon collie state of mind. Nostalgic happenings and forgotten memories resurface as though they never left your mind. Moments of great serenity and peace evolve throughout "HOUND." The whole while you know there is an underling meaning to the softly spoken vocals of Mitchel Williams. As he chants, yet speaks to you as though you were a pure child, he manages to make the listener believe that he truly is singing to you. The song is about you. With each word he's thanking you for taking the time to listen. Hound, to extent has been even a mystery to me. I'm not certain as to how it came to be, however I'm thinking that Mitchel Williams a.k.a. PALMCO grew tired of the one man bedroom producer isolation that we all know so well. He allowed himself a vulnerability never known in a PALMCO song. He allowed to make it a creative process that took more than one musician and/or artist to create. Rolling with the punches seems to be the ticket to PALMCO's best songs to date via "HOUND" by Slow Corpse.
